Sexual Abuse Intervention Program (SAIP)
Counselling is available to children and youth (ages 3-18) who have experienced sexual abuse and/or have sexual behaviour problems.
This includes children under the age of 12 with sexually intrusive behaviours. Service includes a range of appropriate and timely assessment, treatment and consultation to both children and their families.
What the program offers

Program funding is provided by the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD).
What you can expect from the program
The objectives are to:
- reduce the likelihood of adverse long term consequences of child sexual abuse trauma
- alleviate trauma related symptoms
- manage or reduce problematic behaviours
- provide specialized treatment to children with special needs who have been sexually abused
- assist non offending family members and significant others in supporting their children
- provide knowledge and information to reduce likelihood of future incidents
- assist child and caregivers to develop an understanding of healthy sexuality
- to educate about prevention and early detection of sexual abuse
