Sexual Abuse Intervention Program Counsellor

Part-time

The Sexual Abuse Intervention Program provides counseling and support to children and youth aged three to eighteen who have experienced sexual and/or exhibit sexual intrusive behaviours. This position also includes limited hours in Community Mental Health supporting Ministry referred children with behavioural, social, and emotional complex needs

What does it take to be a SAIP Counsellor?

You thrive as part of a dynamic team of family counselors who work from a strength-based, anti-oppressive approach. You have excellent assessment skills and enjoy a collaborative approach to your work while being comfortable working independently. 

Preference is given to those possessing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or Social work and a minimum of years related experience. Those with a related undergraduate degree and extensive experience in a directly related field will be considered. Educational/training opportunities available for the right candidate.
