This program provides individual and peer support to improve the nutrition of pregnant women and postnatal mothers, and provides resources and support to new parents. Resources cover issues such as healthy lifestyle choices, post-partum depression, breastfeeding, baby development and parenting.
The program includes two weekly hot lunch groups, cooking and nutritional information for a healthy pregnancy, support for breastfeeding and baby’s first foods, clothing swaps, resource sharing, and one to one support.
Bellies & Babies, Family Resource Program is staffed by a Program Coordinator, a Nutrition Program Assistant and a Family Resource Worker, and is funded through PHAC, Success by Six, and community donations.

Parents can learn more about this program by contacting Sunshine Coast Community Services Society. No referral is required. The program is free and confidential.
